Board Resolution to Transfer Bank Account to Another Branch

In order to transfer the bank account of a company from one branch to another, the bank will ask for certain documents for this purpose. One of such documents is a certified true copy of the resolution passed in the meeting of the board of directors of the company approving the transfer.

The need for such transfer of account may arise in case the registered office or branch office of the company is shifted to another place. Hence, the company wants to shift the bank account as well for ease of operation.

Here are samples of board resolutions for transfer of bank accounts from one branch to another.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT Mr./Ms. ____________, (Title) be and is hereby authorised to sign the certified true copy of the above resolutions to be forwarded to __________ Bank as and when necessary.”

“RESOLVED THAT the Company do apply for transfer of its current account bearing number _______ maintained with __________ Bank from ______ branch (code: ________) to ______ branch (code: ________).

FURTHER RESOLVED THAT (Name of the Officer), (Designation) be and is hereby authorised to sign and execute all such documents and writings including application forms, declarations, instruments and papers as may be necessary to be submitted to ________ Bank.

FURTHER RESOLVED THAT (Name of the Director/CS), (Designation) be and is hereby authorised to certify a true copy of the foregoing resolution for furnishing it to the concerned bank authority.”
